1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Purr Power Cat Sanctuary & Rescue ("Purr Power", "we", "us", "our"). We are dedicated to providing a safe haven for cats in need and facilitating adoptions to loving homes. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your interaction with Purr Power, including but not limited to, donations, adoption services, and any other services or activities provided by Purr Power. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. DONATIONS

2.1 **Donation Acceptance: Purr Power is a non-profit organization that relies on donations to provide care for the cats in our sanctuary. We are grateful for your support and accept donations in various forms, including but not limited to, monetary contributions, goods, and services.

2.2 **Donation Usage: Donations are non-refundable and will be used at the discretion of Purr Power to support our mission. This may include, but is not limited to, food, medical care, shelter, and adoption services.

2.3 **Tax Deductions: Purr Power is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for specific tax advice.

2.4 **Acknowledgment: We will provide an acknowledgment for all donations. However, the value of any goods donated will be determined by the donor for tax purposes.

3. ADOPTION SERVICES

3.1 **Application Process: To adopt a cat from Purr Power, you must complete an adoption application form. Adoption is subject to our approval, based on various factors including, but not limited to, your home environment, lifestyle, and ability to provide proper care for the cat.

3.2 **Adoption Fee: An adoption fee is required for all cat adoptions. This fee covers a portion of the costs associated with the cat's care, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and any necessary medical treatment.

3.3 **Adoption Agreement: Upon adoption, you will be required to sign an adoption agreement. This document outlines the terms of the adoption, including your responsibilities as an adopter and our policies on pet care and ownership.

3.4 **Return Policy: If, for any reason, the adoption does not work out, you must return the cat to Purr Power. We are committed to the welfare of our cats and will not allow them to be rehomed without our knowledge and consent.

3.5 **Health and Behavior: While we strive to provide healthy and well-behaved cats for adoption, we cannot guarantee their long-term health or behavior. We recommend that all adopters consult with a veterinarian after adoption.

4. VOLUNTEERS & FOSTERS

4.1 **Application and Screening: To become a volunteer or foster, you must complete an application and undergo a screening process. This may include a home visit and reference checks.

4.2 **Training: All volunteers and fosters must complete our training program to ensure the safety and well-being of our cats and those who interact with them.

4.3 **Confidentiality: You must maintain the confidentiality of all information you obtain about Purr Power, our cats, and other individuals associated with the organization.

4.4 **Liability: Volunteers and fosters are not employees of Purr Power and are thus not covered under our insurance policy. You are solely responsible for any injuries or damages you may incur while performing services for Purr Power.

5. VISITING THE SANCTUARY

5.1 **Appointment: To visit the sanctuary, you must schedule an appointment in advance. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of our cats.

5.2 **Conduct: During your visit, you are expected to treat the cats and sanctuary with respect and adhere to the rules and guidelines provided by our staff.

5.3 **Health and Safety: For the well-being of our cats and visitors, you must be free of any contagious diseases and not have been exposed to any in the last 14 days. You are also required to wear appropriate clothing and shoes and wash your hands before and after interacting with the cats.

6. PRIVACY

We are committed to protecting your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website.

7. CONTENT

7.1 **Intellectual Property**: The content on our website and social media platforms is owned by Purr Power. Unauthorized use of our content is prohibited.

7.2 **User Content**: By posting content on our website or social media pages, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purposes of promoting our mission.

8. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Purr Power, its employees, officers, directors, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of our services or any violation of these Terms.

9. LIABILITY

Purr Power is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the adoption of a cat or any other interaction with the sanctuary, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Purr Power is located. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate state courts.

11. CHANGES TO TERMS
